About Me
I began my professional career as a teacher in 1985. My work as a teacher was rewarding on many levels however my desire to become a counsellor never left me. Consequently, I pursued my calling and obtained my Masters in Counselling in 2015. I then worked at a college and was contracted out for a short amount of time after that. I have found one of my greatest passions is that of meeting the psychosocial needs of my clients.
On a personal level, my life has transformed over the last several years. During my adolescence, early 20’s, and 30’s I felt a disconnection from who I was and had a longing to be more fully myself. I am now living a life more connected to authentic self, filled with adventures, love and friendships and meaning. However, that would have never happened had I not gotten help….. I am grateful to all my healers and mentors who have helped facilitate my journey with grace, wisdom, compassion, and encouraging me to look within and find my own answers. As well as helping me let go of anxiety, resentment, hurt and living a life of burden. I am also grateful to myself for following my healing path, taking one day at a time, and persevering through the challenging times. The path towards wholeness has been a deeply spiritual one, filled with lots of detours, stops, joys, triumphs and losses.
I am humbled to be traveling with people and supporting them on their journey towards wholeness. Transformation is an ongoing journey and I believe that we all have the potential to radically shape-shift, morph and transform throughout life.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughters, family and friends. I also enjoy golfing, playing pickleball and baking.
